Introductions
I'm Megan.
Daughter of the King of Kings, wife to Andrew, mother to SG(7) and LA(3) (using initials so the poor kids aren't too easy to find online later in life).
I paint watercolor paintings - lots of cityscapes, houses, and animal portraits - and I sell them on Etsy (I'm new to the selling on Etsy aspect of this).
I'm a homeschool mom (as of this year - 2018 - so I'm really new at this).
I'm a pastor's wife (3 years in ministry).
You might be sensing a theme here - I'm new to pretty much everything I'm writing about, so obviously this isn't a blog about how to be awesome at life; it's more a blog about learning and growth. As a family, we are learning and growing together, and I thought it would be fun to invite you along. Maybe you'll be able to relate to some of what I write, maybe you won't.
What I hope you find here is honesty, humility, and a story of a family who desires to learn more and grow more.
What I know you'll find here is a daughter of God who often tries to do it all herself instead of placing her trust in the all-powerful Creator of the universe; a former English teacher who sometimes writes in stream of consciousness instead of complete sentences, has a bit of an issue with spelling, and makes up words sometimes (what? the English language is always evolving!); a mother who loves her children fiercely but totally yells and loses her patience sometimes; a pastor's wife who's not always very pastor's-wifey; a mom new to homeschooling who has read enough to give her strong opinions on things she has little experience with, leading her to sometimes come off as thinking she's an expert on a topic she truly knows nothing about; and an artist who is still figuring out how to be an artist.

This is our family. Don't we look cute? We had to trick LA to get him to get in this picture because he's a strong-willed little thing who only likes to do things if he thinks they were his idea in the first place.
