Math Monday

I promise, "Math Monday" won't become a thing on this blog. It just sounds good today. I might do "Watercolor Wednesday" though. I think I have more to post about that

He decided to make a pattern. I decided that counts as his math for the day.

How do you make math come alive for kids? I've always worked on making it relevant (cooking, measuring, dealing with time and money, etc), but I want to find ways to make it truly come alive for SG.

Division and doubling with cars

We are using Math Mammoth for her curriculum, and we really do like it, but I would like for her to have more resources (that don't involve screens) that allow her to learn through exploration or literature. The kid loves to read, and she much prefers to learn things on her own through books and projects.

Do you have a favorite book that made math come alive for you or your kids? Any game, puzzle, or activity that grabbed your attention?
